Cartographer:
Fresno County Chamber of Commerce
Date of Creation:
c1923
The anonymous bird’s-eye view, which extends north to San Joaquin, south to Kern, and west to Gala Veras, Tuolumne and Mariposa counties, is surrounded by 31 mostly photographic vignettes illustrating landmarks, natural resources and industries. Within the map a select few vignettes highlight the Yosemite, General Grant and Sequoia National Parks, as well as Huntington Lake, and the oil fields of Coalinga. The road map on the verso ensures that the traveler can find their way between each of these landmarks. The integral 2cent mailer helps to date the brochure, to between 1919 and 1932.
