Southern Pacific Lines follow the trails blazed by the pioneers

An uncommon and visually appealing map poster "done in the old style" with decorative galleons and sea monsters and an elaborate compass rose. Southern Pacific's Shasta Route, Overland Route, Golden State Route and Sunset Route are marked, "following the trails of the pioneers, they are the best natural routes to the land of scenery and romance". The left and right borders are composed of vignette illustrations of historical events starting with "1862 President Lincoln signs Pacific Railway Act" to "Today Southern Pacific still building and serving".
