A “mod” style rendering of the Hawaiian Islands, complete with drawings of Capt Cook, Volcanos, Surfers and lovely hula girls. Verso is a United Airlines route map of the USA and Hawaiian Island. Issued with an on-board kit by the recently re-organised United Airlines, the largest airline in the western hemisphere at the time. The “Our Little Corner of the World” slogan was used by the airline throughout the 1970s and into the 80s. In 1976, the Hawaii route accounted for 10% of the airline’s volume, and 13% of their profits.
